What can help you improve your IBS symptoms

Focus: You’ve tried the diets, supplements and symptom-management strategies, yet your IBS persists. What if the problem isn’t what you’re doing, but what you’ve been taught about IBS that you have never questioned? Understanding the deeper roots of your symptoms is the foundation of the IBS Interrupt™ approach.

What can improve your IBS symptoms?

Many smart IBS sufferers I talk to have actively tried SO many things – but they are not getting the relief they need. And as a result they just don’t know what to try next.

If you don’t know what else to do, this article is for you.

How I started to improve my IBS symptoms

Where there's a will there's a way out of IBS

Back when I had IBS for years, I tried lots of things.

Some helped for a while, which was already something. But nothing got to the roots of my IBS. Not until I really set out to understand IBS through my own experiments.

I could give you a list of quick fixes that you have to keep doing to get relief.

But the truth is that I want other people to experience the IBS-free life I now live.

You can spend your life trying to manage your IBS, or you can spend the some time and energy actually recovering.

For me there is a huge difference between learning something through theory, and learning it first-hand. There are many theories about irritable bowel – mostly by people who have never suffered with IBS.

I did the long, intuitive course on IBS. I was intent on improving my condition as it was getting well out of hand. I decided not to follow any of the usual IBS advice, or take or use products of any kind – and experiment.

However, I had no idea that full recovery was possible – until it actually happened.

The IBS symptoms I had been battling with for so long began falling away. It was actually quite shocking!

Deepening your understanding of IBS

Spend time recoverying from IBS - not just managing symptoms

In my world, IBS symptoms (even chronic ones) do not work AT ALL in the way we have been led to believe.

We are all wasting a lot of time and energy trying things that won’t help for long – and not getting relief.

We all want someone to do or give us something that will get rid of IBS. But believe me, you actually want to know how you solved it. Otherwise you’ll likely have to keep going back again and again, and you’ll never feel confident about your health.

As with any complex problem, if you don’t have a deep understanding of it, it’s almost impossible to find solutions.

When I set out to improve my IBS symptoms, I decided to disregard all previous advice or understanding that led me nowhere for 25 years.

If you want to move forward, allow yourself to unlearn everything you think you know about IBS – and start from scratch with a beginner’s mind.

Making what to do next easy

What you are craving is to digest well and feel free from IBS symptoms. Which means putting in some effort and understanding your challenge in more depth.

If you don’t know where to start, take the Open Up Your IBS personal challenge. It is designed to help you shed light on your IBS through mini-experiments – and set you on a path where recovery becomes possible.

This is worth your time.
